An exceptionally desirable Mercedes Benz SL320 from 2001, a facelift model, benefitting from the later V6 engine. This particular car includes a number of factory extras; white/cream nappa leather, a glass panoramic hard top, heated and memory seats, together with a rear wind deflector.
This car has just been fitted with four new tyres, together with a new genuine Mercedes Benz battery.
Service History
This car comes with a full service history with either Mercedes Benz main agents or with Mercedes specialists, and has recently had its "B" service undertaken, this includes new spark plugs, engine oil and filter, together with gearbox oil - which specialists such as Prestige Car Service recommend be undertaken every five years. This SL320 will not require any servicing attention for the next two years.
Engine
This SL320 is equipped with the Mercedes-Benz a M112 3.2 L 18-valve SOHC V6 (165 kW (224 PS; 221 hp) at 5,600 rpm) engine, replacing the older straight six that had powered earlier SL320's. Mercedes used lightweight materials including aluminium and magnesium for components including the crankshaft and intake manifold, the V6 is also 20kg lighter than the older engine. This later engine is equipped with a twin spark ignition system.
Gearbox
The five speed gearbox is an "intelligent" unit built by Mercedes Benz (as with all MB cars) which can learn your driving style, this gearbox is considered far superior to the 4 speed auto 'boxes found on earlier R129's .
Interior
This SL benefits from recently restored White Nappa leather electrically operated and heated seats, with cream carpets, coupled with the panoramic glass hard top, makes for a light and airy driving experience.
Exterior
The metallic blue exterior has been professionally restored by us, and really suits this SL combined with factory standard alloy wheels, it really is a fine example of the Mercedes Benz R129 series SL. The hydraulically operated fabric roof is in fantastic condition.
This SL320 comes complete with a full MB and Specialist service history, and includes the MB service book. As with all cars from Turnbull & Oliver Ltd, and for your full peace of mind, a 12 month comprehensive warranty is included with all our R129 SL cars, this is not an insurance policy as per most dealer warranties, Turnbull & Oliver warrant this car ourselves.
